Seconds Before Disaster
There is a special category of photography called “Pre-Pain Foreshadowing.” These are shots taken a fraction of a second before gravity claims its victim. On the beach, where people run on wet sand, these moments happen constantly.

Whether it is a volleyball inches away from a face or someone slipping on a mossy rock, we laugh because we recognize ourselves. Everyone has lost their balance on slippery rocks, and we just thank god no one was there to press the shutter button when we fell.
